Eric Larivee's Roseland Ballroom Dinner Theater & Cabaret/Jazz Club Presents The Beantown Swing Orchestra
TAUTON, MA: If
the hot clarinet of Benny Goodman makes you swoon, if you can't keep still when
you hear a Gene Krupa drum solo, if seeing someone dance the Lindy Hop makes you
want to leap to the sky-come to the historic Roseland Ballroom for the return of
Big Band and Swing!
Passionately led by bandleader extraordinaire Frank Hsieh, the 20 piece Boston
orchestra is comprised of some of the hottest talents from the Berklee School of
Music and New England Conservatory. They have taken the area by storm and
will be featured in the upcoming Dane Cook Hollywood blockbuster release "My
Best Friend's Girl". Dance your heart out or sit back, relax and watch
everyone else do all the work! Swing and ballroom dance expert Liz Miller
will be on hand to give a free optional dance lesson and also emcee the event to
keep the dance hall swinging. The incredible Roseland Songbirds singing
waitstaff will be in period costume and taking turns at the mic performing the
greatest Big Band classics of all time.
A 1930's-1940's vintage clothing fashion show will also be a part of the
nostalgic festivities.
$35 Special Dinner package includes dinner, optional dance lesson, dancing and
performances. Price DOES NOT include waitstaff gratuity. You may also opt
for $20 dance ticket. Period clothing optional.
Doors open at 6:00PM for cocktails.
